MCHS 2015Annual Banquet is June 13 at the Lacon American Legion building at 6 pm.
A very interesting program of "Life Along the River" will be presented by Melvin Budd, John Wabel and Rick Keaing.  The history told and a variety of pictures will be shown to illustrate the changes over the years of river traffic, its bridges, businesses and people. Tickets are available at the Museum or call 309-246-2349.

Come see us at the Henry Expo on October 11 at the Marshall-Putnam Fair Grounds.

Oral History Project

The Historical Society is in the process of coordinating an oral history project. We are interviewing people who are knowledgeable of the history of the area. The information will be preserved on DVD's at the museum.
We will be taping conversations at the museum. Anyone wishing to take part in this project, please call the museum to make an appointment or for more information. (309-246-2349).

  

Doll House Workshop
The Dollhouse/Miniatures Workshop will meet at the Museum on the first Tuesday each month at 1 p.m. Anyone interested may contact us at marshallcountyhistory@gmail.com for details.
